Short answer? Yes.

Instead of growing underground over billions of years, lab diamonds are created in controlled environments using advanced technology that replicates natural diamond growth.
The diamond “rough” or crystal is then graded by the same gemological laboratories, cut by the same artisans, and set into fine jewelry just like mined diamonds.
We like to compare lab diamonds to babies… I know, but hear me out! Some babies are conceived a couple of ways. One way is with a little help from a lab. Another, is the old fashioned way 🙂 But people don’t identify them as a “test tube baby” because they are simply, a baby!
Just a note though: Lab diamonds are significantly less expensive than mined diamonds. The same can’t be said for IVF conception!

Now you have the same situation with a 1ct. lab diamond ring that you paid $1000 for. Again, best option is a pawn shop and 20%, so you get $200. But… you only realized a loss of $800.
